Brain Groove is built to respect your privacy. We collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we don't show you ads. This policy explains what we handle and why, in plain language.
The short version
- We don't require an account to play.
- We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- There are no third-party advertising networks in the app.
- We use privacy-minded analytics to improve the app — with your device's advertising identifier switched off.
- Your scores stay on your device unless you opt in to online leaderboards.
- If you start the free trial, we store a game-service ID on our server so it can run and can't be restarted repeatedly — never tied to your name or email.
Information we collect
Gameplay data on your device. Your scores, progress, settings, and which tutorials you've seen are stored locally on your device so the game works the way you left it.
Leaderboards (optional). If you choose to use leaderboards, your platform's game service — such as Apple Game Center on iOS — handles your nickname and high scores under that provider's own privacy policy. You can turn this off in your device settings at any time.
Free trial. If you start the free Pro trial, we send your platform game-service identifier (such as your Apple Game Center player ID) to our own server and store it alongside the date your trial began. We use this only to run your trial and to stop the same person from repeatedly restarting it — for example, after reinstalling the app. It is not linked to your name or email, is never shared or sold, and is never used for advertising. We keep it only as long as needed for this purpose.
Anonymous diagnostics. With your permission, your device's operating system may share crash reports and basic, aggregated usage statistics that help us fix bugs. These are not tied to your identity.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, which games are opened and how often rounds are played — so we can improve it. This records app activity (such as screens viewed and rounds completed) together with a Google-generated app-instance identifier and general device and region information. We have turned off collection of your device's advertising identifier (Apple's IDFA and the Android Advertising ID), so this data is not used to build an advertising profile or track you across other apps. Google processes it as our service provider under Google's privacy policy.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts.
- We do not track your precise location.
- We do not collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA or Android Advertising ID) — we've disabled it.
- We do not build advertising profiles or use third-party ad trackers.
How we use information
We use the limited data above only to run the game, save your progress, power optional leaderboards, run and protect the free trial from repeat abuse, understand aggregate usage, and improve stability and difficulty tuning. We never use it for advertising.
Children's privacy
Brain Groove is friendly for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we don't require accounts or collect personal details, the experience is the same for everyone.
Your choices
- Disable your platform's game service in your device settings to keep scores fully local.
- Turn off diagnostic sharing in your operating system's privacy settings.
- Delete the app to remove locally stored gameplay data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
